What are the parts of an IP address?

What will be an ideal response?

An IP address is composed of two parts: a network ID and a host ID. The network ID identifies the network where the host is located. The host ID identifies a computer or device on a network. This structure is much like phone numbers, with an area code shared by everybody in a certain area and a local number specific to each person with a phone account.
