Answers should include, at a minimum, the name of each zone and the particulars of each zone. Zone l is the innermost circle of the model and is called the central business district. In this zone were businesses, factories, and public service buildings. Zone ll is the zone surrounding the central business district, and is referred to as the zone in transition. This is because this zone experienced high levels of transiency due to waves of immigrants coming to America. So this zone had the highest level of social ills, including crime. Zone lll is the workingmen’s homes with modest housing and apartments. As we move further out, we have Zone lV, which are higher priced homes. And Zone V is the commuter zone. (Zones lV and V are the equivalent to today’s suburbia).
