According to the studies conducted by Masters and Johnson, to what extent are the lovemaking techniques of gays and lesbians similar to and different from those of heterosexuals?

What will be an ideal response?

According to the studies conducted by Masters and Johnson, there were no differences in the masturbation techniques used by homosexuals and heterosexuals. However, in couple interactions there were some substantial differences. Homosexuals seemed to be less goal-oriented compared to heterosexuals, who seem to strive toward a goal of orgasm for each partner. Both heterosexuals and lesbians began with holding and kissing the female, however, heterosexuals quickly moved on to genital stimulation, while lesbians lingered more in this activity which gradually progressed to a long period of breast stimulation, which sometimes resulted in orgasm in the absence of genital stimulation. Lesbians also appeared to communicate more with each other. Gays engaged in extensive stimulation of the nipples, but such a technique was rare among heterosexuals. Gay men were much more likely to stimulate the frenulum. They also used a "teasing technique" in which the man brings his partner near orgasm, then relaxes the stimulation, then increases the stimulation again, and so on, essentially prolonging the pleasure.
