Your friend works long hours at the computer each day. What are some suggestions you can give your friend to help prevent the development of active TrPs?

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Repetitive motion from computer work combined with poor posture are likely to cause health problems over time. Suggestions for preventing TrPs might include taking frequent short stretch breaks to give muscles a break, using an ergonomic chair and computer workstation to improve posture and body mechanics, and spending longer breaks, such as a lunch hour, engaged in different types of physical activity, like walking or exercise. Other ideas include enrolling in a yoga, Pilates, or other movement class in off hours, eating a balanced diet, and being mindful of body posture even when not at the computer.
