Describe the categories of customers who use prostitutes. Why do men use prostitutes?

What will be an ideal response?

Fifty percent of the customers of prostitutes, usually referred to as "johns," are occasional customers. About 50 percent are repeat clients who seek a regular relationship with one particular prostitute or a small group of them. The remainders are compulsive johns, who use prostitutes for their major sexual outlet. Some of these men are able to function sexually only with prostitutes.

Men use prostitutes for a variety of reasons. The main reasons reported are: to satisfy sexual needs, that it was easy, and that it would be entertaining. Some men want sex more frequently than their wives do and some want to engage in practices they think their wives would not be willing to do-such as fellatio. Some use prostitutes to satisfy their exotic needs, such as being whipped or having sex with a woman who pretends to be a corpse. Others, particularly adolescents, may have sex with prostitutes to prove their manhood or gain sexual experience.
