Why does the secure option in /etc/exports not really provide any security?

What will be an ideal response?

Some clients (for example, Windows users) can connect from any port. Set-
ting the secure option cannot stop these users from mounting an exported
directory hierarchy. Also, you have no way of ensuring that users do not
have root accounts on their local systems.
