Conflict is a process that begins when you perceive that someone has frustrated or is about to frustrate a major concern of yours. Goal-oriented conflict is associated with disagreements regarding end results, project scope outcomes, performance specifications and criteria, project priorities and objectives. Administrative conflict arises through management hierarchy, organizational structure, or company philosophy. These conflicts are centered on disagreements about reporting relationships and who has administrative control and authority for functions, project tasks, and decisions. Interpersonal conflict occurs with personality differences between project team members and important project stakeholders.
