What will be an ideal response?


It is critical that one obtains practical, supervised experience using the theoretical approaches under consideration. Ideally this work begins in practicum and internship experiences, as well as supervised postgraduate experiences. At times it may be suggested to students that they choose two or three theoretical approaches to use in their first clinical experience to help them discover which theory is best suited for them.
