Compare using the present value, future value, and annuity tables to using your financial calculator to solve problems. What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of each tool?

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: The tables require you to carefully look at the titles to ensure you have the correct table. Looking at the tables almost requires a ruler to pick the correct figure. The financial calculator requires practice to input the values. Depending upon the calculator, some values may require a negative input which may be confusing. There is a learning curve with both methods; however, the answers found for a problem using both tools should be fairly close.
