Describe the differences between loneliness and aloneness.

What will be an ideal response?

Responses will vary; Loneliness is an unpleasant experience that occurs when a person's network of social relationships is significantly deficient in either quantity or quality. Loneliness sets in when our relationships do not meet our needs or when a positive relationship becomes negative. Aloneness is a choice. It is possible for someone to be alone and not be lonely and it is possible for someone to be lonely when they are surrounded by people.
