What are aperture and f-number? How does the aperture relate to the f-number and how does this affect the amount of light to which the microchipis exposed?

What will be an ideal response?

Aperture is the measure of the diameter of the diaphragm, which allows light into the camera. The f-number is equal to the focal length of the lens divided by the aperture. F-number and aperture are inversely related. The lower the f-number, the wider the aperture, and the more light it allows in. The higher the f-number, the narrower the aperture, and the less light it allows.
