Describe the changes in sleep patterns in older adults and how you lack of think this might impact an older person’s daily life.

What will be an ideal response?


Older adults require the same amount of sleep but sleep patterns may change. Less effective sleep may result in feeling less rested; older adults may nap during the day; may go to bed early, but be awake in the middle of the night.

Later bedtime may help to stabilize and restore better sleep. Happing during the day or sleeping pills compound the problem.
