You can double-click the Recycle Bin to open the Recycle Bin window and see the files that are ready to be permanently deleted.If you want to keep a file that is in the Recycle Bin instead of permanently deleting it, you can return the file to its previous location. To do this, right-click a file in the Recycle Bin window and then click Restore on the shortcut menu, or click the Recycle Bin Tools Manage tab on the Ribbon, and then click the Restore the selected items button.When you no longer need the files stored in the Recycle Bin, you can permanently delete them. To do this, right-click the Recycle Bin and then click Empty Recycle Bin on the shortcut menu, or click the Empty Recycle Bin button on the Recycle Bin Tools Manage tab on the ribbon. Keep in mind that you cannot retrieve files that have been emptied from the Recycle Bin.Make it a practice to regularly empty the Recycle Bin. Storing files in the Recycle Bin can slow down your computer's start-up time. The unneeded files also take up space on your computer. Files you want to keep should be stored in other folders, not in the Recycle Bin.
