Ans: Varies. The United States is a pluralistic society because it is made up of a diversity of traditions and norms based on race and culture. For example, Chinese Americans celebrate the Chinese New Year across many metropolitan cities across the nation. Muslim Americans celebrate Islamic holidays, while Jewish and Christians celebrate their respective religious holidays. Each one of these groups hold their own norms within their own cultures, which may be different than norms of the dominant culture. African American and Latinx families tend to have several generations of families living under one roof because of their family values and traditions compared to White Americans whose families tend to look like nuclear family household. All of these traditions represent different values and norms that are practiced daily for all Americans.
