Windows NT 4.0 was the first popular network operating system developed by Microsoft. It was designed for enterprise use and had far more security features than any previous Windows versions. Windows NT took full advantage of the Intel and AMD 32-bit processors. By the time NT 4.0 came about, support for multiple languages increased the popularity of Windows. Similar to Windows 95 and Windows 98,Windows NT 4.0 also supports Plug-and-Play.
