In what ways are low-SES families different from high-SES families?

What will be an ideal response?

Low-SES families are those at the bottom of the economicladder because the parents have little education and few occupational skills, workin minimum wage jobs, or are often unemployed. Most of the low-SES familiesare poor, but many are headed by a married couple with at least one full-time,full-year worker. In contrast, in high-SES families, the parents' occupations—mainly professional and managerial—usually require a Ph.D. or advanced degree in business, law or medicine. This group also includes super-rich families that have inherited their wealth, and those who have earned ratherthan inherited their wealth.
