Why might it be more effective to use deep acting instead of surface acting when engaging in emotional labor?

What will be an ideal response?

Surface acting occurs when a person suppresses his or her true feelings while
displaying the organizationally desirable ones. Using deep acting, you try to change
your actual emotions to better match the emotions your employer requires in the
situation. People who amplify positive emotions through deep acting will generate a
favorable response from others, which decreases work strain; yet those who display
high levels of anger or contempt will receive a negative response, thus increasing work
strain. Similarly, those who put on a fake display of surface acting will also receive an
unfavorable response from others, which again increases work strain.
