Describe DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC).

DNS Security Extensions (DNSSEC) is an authorization and integrity protocol designed to prevent bad guys from impersonating legitimate DNS servers. It's implemented through extension mechanisms for DNS (EDNS), a specification that expanded several parameter sizes but maintained backward compatibility with earlier DNS servers.
