What are structural glazing systems designed to do?
What will be an ideal response?
Structural glazing systems are designed to carry a portion of the live and dead loads imposed on or by the glass without the need of additional support of a window frame. Wind loads transferred by the glass to the building structural frame are carried by the structural glazing. These systems provide designers with a means of amplifying the transparency of the glass wall system.
