Describe psychoeducation and what does it promote.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Psychoeducation is an intervention that encompasses health education, problem-solving, and overall social-emotional support. It largely has been effective in promoting three aspects: 1) positive growth in transition to adulthood and adult care, 2) patient education preparations for transition process and healthy decision making, and 3) prevention of logistical and emotional barriers to the transition to adult care. Through psychoeducation, patients learn to use technology and internet to engage in their care, monitor their progress, and plan their future.
