Evaluate trends in officers feloniously killed in the line of duty as opposed to those accidentally killed.

What will be an ideal response?

There are no clear trends in accidental deaths or murders. Some years more officers are killed via felonious assault and other years more officers are killed via accidents. In addition, the number of officers killed, both feloniously, and accidentally, varies from year to year, sometimes quite significantly.
