Explain the difference between correlation and causality.
What will be an ideal response?
Correlation means that two variables are related, not that one causes the other.
Causation means that one variable causes the other. Causation can be determined only
through a controlled experiment. Most social science research is correlational in nature
so we cannot make causal assumptions when relationships between variables are
found.
