What will be an ideal response?


Evidence-based practice is choosing service treatments that have been proven to work with the specific target population of interest based on empirical evidence. Some of the challenges include: it does not ensure that the services will benefit recipients; the proven intervention may not generalize to the setting in which services are provided by the agency; and it may conflict with using a consumer-centered approach to providing services. Students will gave various examples of how they might use evidence-based practice.
