Discuss two ways that school districts can minimize the blur of information to potential applicants and help matters in the orientation process when vacant positions are announced

What will be an ideal response?

ANS:
School districts should afford particular attention to the posting of vacant positions. Content of position postings should be specific as opposed to general relative to position characteristics. By providing specific information about focal positions, orientation can reinforce position information rather than introduce position information for new job incumbents. Position guides and job descriptions are valuable resources in helping new employees become acquainted with their potential job assignments early in the employment process. These position guides and job descriptions should not only prevent applicants from accepting positions for which they are unqualified, but also should provide information to those responsible for personnel selection and placement so that candidates and positions can be matched effectively and lay the groundwork for the orientation process.
