Distinguish between the responses of the various types of lymphocytes. What mechanism does each cell type use to combat invaders to the body?

What will be an ideal response?

Lymphocytes are white blood cells involved in health and disease. There are three kinds: B cells, T cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. B cells form in bone marrow and fight infectious agents (such as viruses or bacteria) by producing antibodies that chemically suppress the “invaders” (more generally known as antigens). T cells are produced in the thymus, and attack antigens directly by injecting a lethal toxin into the unwanted cells. NK cells also combat antigens directly and also use a lethal chemical. NK cells are important because they often detect antigens that are missed by B and T cells.
