What will be an ideal response?


There are many answers to this question. The main point is that the examples used demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of bioethics. Examples may be issues related to family planning, abortion, perinatal ethics, eugenics, HIV/AIDS, organ transplantation, genetic science, planning for the end of life, euthanasia, withholding/withdrawing life support. Be open to any valid presentation of the issues. For example: euthanasia - Students could discuss concerns over the validity of advance directives over family wishes; the increasing cost of extending life span vs quality of life; or should we legalize active euthanasia; etc.
