Discuss the formation of eukaryotic organisms from prokaryotic organisms. What was required for this transformation

to occur? What will be an ideal response?

The student should first describe the characteristics of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and
then discuss the process of endosymbiosis and the formation of specialized cells, or
organelles, including mitochondria and plastids. These organelles entered a symbiotic
relationship with each other and its existence is dependent on the whole organism. A
discussion of the advantages of eukaryotic cells should be included.
