Validity means that a device measures what it says it measures and can be used to make a decision. Four kinds of validity are listed below:
• Content validity: Measures skills and understandings representative of the curriculum being taught.
• Statistical validity or concurrent validity: Correlation yielded by comparison of test score with another similar established test.
• Predictive validity: Correlation yielded by comparison of test score with a future behavior.
• Construct validity: Degree to which a test measures a theoretical trait or construct.
