Looking at the examples in the book, what were some of the key difference and similarities that could be found between Classical and Hellenistic artistic styles? Does Hellenistic art give us an idea of the perception and focus of the people at this time?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: There should be extensive description of the development of art and a serious comparison between the two periods. Notable in this should be the realism of the Classical period, with its emphasis on the representation of the ideal human form, and the new Hellenistic emphasis on movement and life. Examples could be drawn from Phidias and the Laocoön.
