How is a climate of safety in a school beneficial?

What will be an ideal response?

In a school with a climate of safety, adults and students respect each other and, importantly, students have a positive connection to at least one adult in authority. When a climate of safety is created, it is sensed in a school; there is a feeling of emotional wellness. In this type of school climate, problems can be raised and addressed in peer groups and with counselors before they escalate. It becomes noticeable when a student is disturbed and in distress. If a member of the school community shows enormous personal pain that could lead to harm-to the student himself or herself or to others-it becomes a cry for help that is answered.
