What will be an ideal response?

Multifetal pregnancies present substantial risks to both the mother and fetuses, and the risks increase as the number of fetuses increases. The risk factors associated with the mother are preeclampsia, hyperemesis gravidarum, iron-deficiency anemia, gestational diabetes, placenta previa, kidney disease, fetal loss, and preterm delivery. The risk factors associated with the infants in multifetal pregnancies are neonatal death, congenital abnormalities, respiratory distress syndrome, intraventricular hemorrhage, cerebral palsy, and low birthweight.
