Ans: A convergent mixed-methods design gathers the qualitative and quantitative data at the same time, it is not sequential. In this way, an issue can be examined using both types of information; quantitative information regarding relationships between independent and dependent variables or impact of an independent variable upon a dependent variable and the deep, rich qualitative information describing the perspectives of the participants.
