Do you think it is possible to live in a truly egalitarian household? Why or why not? Would you want to live in an egalitarian household?

What will be an ideal response?

Varies. Students may argue for either side as long as they provide supporting evidence. Students should first define what an egalitarian household is--the sharing of roles and responsibilities between male and female partners based on fairness, not gender. Students may choose to state that an egalitarian household is possible if the partners truly divide household labor. Other students may choose to state that an egalitarian household is not completely possible due to socialized gender norms. Students should then explain why or why not they would want to live in an egalitarian household.
