Compare the behaviors of William Aramony with those of Dennis Kozlowski. Are there signals these CEOs send with their behaviors?

Students should discuss the young women they hired, the extravagance that kept going, and their charismatic personalities that deflected questions. They should also discuss that the signals were there and flags were raised, but no one was willing to follow up on the questions. In Kozlwoski's case, there was perhaps some fear. With Aramony, it was difficult for folks to believe that someone involved in nonprofit work would abuse the trust. Also, there was weak board supervision in both cases with the board deferring to their CEOs who had really done what seemed to be good work for the organizations.
