Normative compliance is all about the pressure which is exerted on an individual to conform and comply. There are very clearly defined parameters that The Reference Group had, from producing job descriptions, through recruitment, to producing training videos and designing publicity material. The management of ‘participation’ (a normative compliant directive) as managed by a working group entitled ‘Active Engagement’.
