Explain the impact of uncertainty in online relationships. How does it influence the strategies

we use? What are the potential drawbacks?

What will be an ideal response?

In an online situation, we generally use interactive strategies to reduce uncertainty. In
this situation, sending and Email or starting an online conversation tends to induce less
uncertainty than a face to face conversation. Online exchanges usually happen in
private, with less potential for embarrassment and less emphasis on physical
appearance. The drawbacks are the uncertainty that one may have about being
deceived in an online environment.
