Explain the concept of Organization and provide an example.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Organization refers to the fact that intellectual operations are integrated with one another in a hierarchical nature. Through the process of organization, every intellectual operation is related to all other acts of intelligence. Thus, one scheme does not exist independently of other schemes but is coordinated with them. Similarly, organization is the tendency to integrate schemes into higher-order systems. For example, a week-old infant has one scheme for sucking and another for hand and arm movements. It doesn’t take long, however, for these two schemes to become coordinated, resulting in a thumb-sucking scheme. Thumb sucking is not innate but represents the organization of two initially independent schemes into an integrated, higher order scheme (even if these schemes become coordinated before birth).
