Blindness refers to individuals who are totally without vision or have only light perception. Educationally, these individual uses other sense (hearing, touch, olfactory) to access information. A person having low vision may have a significant visual loss with his/her best correction, but has usable vision. The individual uses vision as his/her primary mode to access information. This person's vision is often aided through optical devices.
