Distinguish between needs and wants and provide an example of each
What will be an ideal response?
A need is something that is a necessity in life, such as food, water, and shelter. A want is something that is not a necessity but is desired in order to increase the quality of life. Stated another way, a need is a “have to have” and a want is a “nice to have.” So, for example, you may need a new pair of sneakers, but want the athlete-endorsed pair at three times the cost of a regular pair. Note: Student examples will vary.
