Compare ReQuest, Reciprocal Teaching, and Questioning the Author.

What will be an ideal response?

ReQuest, Reciprocal Teaching, and Questioning the Author are collaborative approaches.
ReQuest is the easiest to implement and focuses on asking and answering questions and making a prediction. Reciprocal Teaching focuses on four strategies: predicting, questioning, summarizing, and clarifying. Under the teacher's guidance, students read a passage and conduct a discussion, using the four strategies. Questioning the Author emphasizes the content of a selection rather than the use of strategies. Students respond to open-ended questions or queries, such as, "What is the author telling us?" The idea is that authors don't tell everything and aren't always clear. Students need to construct meaning. Despite some differences, all three approaches are researched based and have been shown to be effective.
