Contrast what is involved with social versus biological transitioning in transgender individuals.

What will be an ideal response?

Social transitioning involves changing the pronouns used to describe the individual, changes in appearance (hair and clothing) and usually the name. Social transitioning is reversible and nonmedical and allows transgender individuals to appear to be a member of the sex with which they identify. Biological transitioning is a medical process that usually involves hormone therapy to intervene with developmental changes and permanent changes to the genitals using gender-reassignment surgery.
