What will be an ideal response?
That if there is one value that most of the rest of the world attributes to the United States, it is materialism, or the belief that possessions are important in life. Yet the genius of the U.S. economic system is that materialism makes high employment and a comfortable standard of living possible for a vast number of people and the huge middle class.
