Explain assumptive close. When can this be used?

What will be an ideal response?

With the assumptive close, the salesperson assumes that the prospect will buy and makes a statement regarding the purchase. The salesperson may say, "I will ship the order by tomorrow." This can be used when the salesperson has earned the trust of the buyer to an extent of ordering for him. It can be used if the buyer is a friend or if the salesperson has called on the prospect for a long time.
