List and briefly explain the use of the Refine Mask options.
What will be an ideal response?
View: Determines the background. For example, the masked layer can be shown on a white background, a black background, the underlying layers, or other choices. Set View to On Layers to see how your masked layer interacts with the rest of the layers in the document.
Radius: Controls the size of the selection border where the edge refinement occurs.
Smooth: Smoothes the selection border, eliminating hills and valleys.
Feather: Blurs the transition between the selection and its surrounding pixels.
Contrast: Increase to make soft-edged transitions more abrupt.
Shift Edge: Removes unwanted background colors from soft selection edges. Negative values move the selection edges inward while positive values move the selection edges outward.
Decontaminate Colors: Replaces the color of the outermost pixels within a selection with fully selected pixels nearby. This helps reduce unwanted outlines around a selection.
Output: Determines whether the refined selection becomes a new mask on the current layer or a new layer with the mask applied.
