Explain the concept of ethos.
What will be an ideal response?
Ethos involves the use of speaker credibility to impact an audience. A speaker
needs to establish and maintain credibility as well as a positive relational connection
with an audience. In order for audience members to judge the information provided by a
speaker as accurate, valuable, and worthy of their attention and consideration, they
must view that speaker as knowledgeable, trustworthy, and concerned about their well-
being.
