List any 3 lifestyle factors that can contribute to the development of cardiovascular disease and discuss how people can adjust their lifestyles to reduce the risks

Some lifestyle factors can include inactivity, smoking, eating a diet high in saturated fats, diabetes, or atherosclerosis.
Table 11-7 describes strategies to reduce the risks for cardiovascular disease. Some of the strategies are easier to employ than others. Many people find it difficult to quit smoking but there are a lot of smoking cessation programs that people can follow in consultation with their health care providers. People may not find it too difficult to add activity to their daily lives. They can take simple measures such as walking for 10 minutes more each day. People can reduce their intake of saturated fats by reducing their intake of animal products such as beef gradually, to avoid feeling deprived.
