What is the difference between an independent variable and a dependent variable in an experiment?
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: An independent variable is controlled (manipulated) by the researcher. There will be at least two groups created by manipulating the independent variable. It is supposed to affect some outcome. That outcome is the dependent variable. The dependent variable should have different values depending on the independent variable.
