What will be an ideal response?
As a search tool for any information relating to questions of fact. For example, if the testimony involves the construction of a house and the reporter has never heard of "joists" or "caulking" the Internet serves as an excellent source of basic information concerning construction. The Internet serves as an encyclopedia or dictionary.
