Describe connection-autonomy

What will be an ideal response?

Relationships require both the desire to connect to another person and the desire to retain autonomy as an individual. We want to connect to others, but we also want to retain some control and
independence or autonomy over our lives. We desire our close relationships to be defined as "us," but
this does not mean we want to sacrifice our individuality or control over who we are.
