Explain the feminist perspective on rape prevention, particularly what this view holds in regards to socializing boys.

What will be an ideal response?

Feminists argue that the responsibility for preventing rape should not rest on women’s shoulder’s but on men’s. Ultimately, the best way to prevent rape is for men not to attempt it. To do this, our society would need to make a radical change in the way it socializes boys. That would mean not pressuring little boys to be aggressive and tough, teaching boys to be more emotionally intelligent and empathetic, and not demanding that adolescent boys demonstrate hypersexuality. It would also mean challenging rape myths.
